Get Married in Fance

Sue Ward, Wedding Celebrant .......

"Celebrants in France" are a group of independent wedding officiants based in SW France. We offer couples the chance to have a personal wedding ceremony which reflects their personal values and beliefs (humanist / non-religious / secular), within a romantic setting in France,

We will work with you in a friendly and caring way that puts you at ease, so that you can enjoy the process as well as the big occasion. All of us are committed to providing you with an unforgettable wedding ceremony.

Celebrant Sue WARD

Sue Ward

Sue is a bi-lingual celebrant who has truly embraced French culture and the language since settling in the South West of France some years ago.

She particularly enjoys the process of finding out what couples want for their wedding, and then creating a personal ceremony that moves them, (sometimes to tears - which explains why she always keeps a tissue or two handy in her book!)

French/English weddings, where delivering the ceremony in both languages allows all guests to feel included, is a challenge Sue relishes!

Dervla & Stephen

"From our first meeting with you we were certain we were in very safe hands. We will always be thankful to you for the warm and sincere way you delivered our marriage ceremony. We could not have hoped for a better celebrant. As you know, this was the first “non-traditional” wedding in either of our families and although we were very certain about the type of ceremony we wanted we were never too sure how our guests and, in particular, our parents would react. However, we need not have worried as they were all genuinely touched by how personal and relevant every aspect of the ceremony was and they thought that you were, in Dervla’s mum’s words, “absolutely super”. Your relaxed, dignified manner set the perfect tone and your personal warmth really helped to engage our guests in the occasion. Thank you so much for creating this beautiful memory for us.

Emma & Des Fortune

"When we met Sue before our wedding, we knew that she was going to make it as special as possible. We immediately warmed to Sue when we met her and were thrilled she was going to conduct our wedding ceremony. Sue spent a lot of time working with us to make sure our ceremony was just as we wanted and made it the most special day of our lives. We would not hesitate to recommend Sue again - we just loved working with her."

"So many people have said to us how beautiful the ceremony was and what a brilliant celebrant you are. You made our day and we appreciate all the work you put in and how sweet, kind and fab you both were throughout the whole process."

Nathalie & John

"We were hugely impressed with the way in which you conducted a ceremony that was sincere and warm, simple and personalised, and which, judging by the unsolicited comments from our guests, was greatly appreciated by everyone present at our Franco-British wedding.  Thank you so much for making it such a memorable and happy day for us".
